I have lived and worked in Southport for the last 32 years, and raised my two sons in both public and private schools. It was out of pure frustration four years ago, that I started to attend the BOF, BOE and RTM meetings. With the rise in property taxes, the Madoff Scandal, Union Contracts eating up 80 percent of our Town Budget, the bonding of baseball fields, I realized that I needed to get more involved and hopefully make a difference. Needless, to say I feel strongly that we need to be Fiscally Responsible, and though it will be difficult to do, we need to change our Town Charter so the RTM can have representation on all negotiations concerning Union Contracts. Let’s make Fairfield affordable for all.
